Mauna Kea you are so beautiful

Liner notes for ‘O Mauna Kea
from the CD entitled Ku2
Composed for the great landmark, Mauna Kea, which served as a beacon for the Tahitian migration to Hawai’i, for it was one of the first peaks they saw with its white, snow-capped summit. It is well-known that measured below sea level, it is the tallest mountain in the world. This particular song, Tony and Noland would like to dedicate to Penny Keli’i, the Ikawa family, the Daniels family of Waimea, and to the many friends and families that Mauna Kea watches over.
